What Do You Say When…

Like many of you, I struggle with explaining to friends and relatives exactly why I spend so much time on the computer. My
Mother-In-Law says that I do it because I love computers. That is the furthest thing from the truth!

I LOVE what the computer and technology can DO for me as far as my lifestyle. I LOVE the potential it offers me to make extra cash or eeven a full time income. Many friends and family don’t see this though. All they see is me “playing” on the computer till the wee hours of the night.

Have you ever tried to explain to othersĀ  what it is we do?

When I try to explain to people what I do, it doesn’t take long for them to get a real glossy look in their eyes and then they fade away. I’m not sure if I’m talking over their heads or if I am just boring them to a catatonic state.

I am beginning to understand why Tim Ferris (author of 4 Hour Work Week) just tells people, “I sell Drugs” when asked what he does for a living! :-)

Anyway, I have made available a free download for you calledĀ  “I Am An Internet Marketer, And This Is Why I spend So Much Of My Time Glued To A Computer.”

A rather long title, but it is a good read.

It’s a great primer to give to friends and relatives that tries to explain what is is we do for a living. It explains affiliate marketing, list building, blogging, etc in a very “non-IM” way that is very good.

You have full giveaway rights. So feel free to send it your list, offer it as a bonus, or even put it in your loved ones stockings
this Christmas! ;-)

I would be very interested in hearing any stories or experiences you have had trying to explain to people what it is we do on the computer. Please post them on this blog entry.

You can download the pdf for free from http://www.marketingtoolstoday.com/suggests/im/
