My Honest Opinion? Don’t Buy

I have a feeling you will be getting several emails regarding a new eBook by Andrew Cavanagh.

I also have a feeling that the reviews will all be glowing. Partly because the author is giving %100 commissions on a $30 product.

So this may be the only HONEST review you will get about “”OnlineMarketing For The Offline Business”

When Andrew Cavanagh started the “Offline Business” thread on the Warrior forum, I devoured every post as did thousands of others. I also bought his WSO “Offline Gold” that he put out shortly afterward. It was very good.

So when Andrew sent out a mailing to his list offering his newest eBook “Online Marketing For The Offline Business” for $29.99 I quickly picked it up. In his email he calls it a “Companion Manual”
to his offline business model and writes:

“If you want business owners to pay you substantial fees to help
them with their online marketing you need ammunition.

And now you can have your own arsenal of 120 pages of cutting edge
online strategies you can use with any brick and mortar business…”

I was also excited that he was offering 100% commissions on the
report.

My plan was to buy it, read it, love it, write a review and email my list about the new eBook and make a few hundred dollars while I slept.

The problem with the plan I laid out is that this eBook is terrible.

Blows Chunks may be a better choice of words.

Cavanagh can never seem to figure out who his audience is because in one paragraph he is writing to the web designer who is in the business of making direct response websites for businesses next he is writing as if the reader is an offline business owner and how to market their brick/motar business online.

And the “Cutting edge” marketing strategies? Cutting edge in 1997 maybe…

He discusses what a mailing list is and why it is important, how to use incentives to get people to subscribe, an overview of PPC marketing, how to write short mini products, an overview of blogging, as well as other “secrets.”

I still have five chapters to go, but I doubt that it will be enough to rescue my opinion of this material.

Andrew’s past stuff has been very good, but this offering isn’t.

I’ll dig up the pdf to the original thread from the Warrior Forum and post it here as well as a link to Andrews first product which was very good.

And when you start getting all those emails about how wonderful this new eBook is, remember I warned you. :-)

Dive In!
