Make it EASY!

I just recently bought a product that was the motivation for this post.

After searching the net for a while, I found the product I was looking for at a price I was willing to pay. I then proceeded with my PayPal transaction and prepared to be greeted with the instant satisfaction of my download.

But it didn’t happen that way.

In fact, it didn’t happen at all.

The “Thank You” page that I was redirected to was for the wrong product.

Being a kind and patient person I email the site owner of the issue and asked him to please send me the proper download link which he was kind enough to do…

two days later.

His email was apologetic and provided me with a download link as well as the username and password I would need to access the page.

The username and password were 14 characters….

EACH.

Well, now in at the download page and I see the precious download links that I had been drooling for the last two days. And clicked on the first link of seven in great anticipation. Guest what? A username/password box appears again.

Luckily it was the same username/password as the one to access the download page!

With all this security, all this protection, what would you think I paid for this product?

$497?

$197?

Actually, I paid $5.95

Make it easy, folks. The more hoops you make your visitor jump through, the less chance they will complete the transaction.
