Mailing Lists You Should Join

I often read on different forums about people have gotten upset with one marketer or another and did a mass unsubscribe from many lists at once. Others complain about the amount of email they get from different marketers.

I myself will subscribe to just about anyone with a list. If it looks like you might provide some value, I will give you a shot. Just don’t break one of my rules that I wrote about in an earlier post. :)

Having said that, there are are certain marketers that I will read everything they send to me. Here is my “All Star” list and why I think highly of them. Feel free to comment and add others..

Willie Crawford: Quite simply, Willie is a master story teller. Most of the time I read his emails not for the content, but to study the style and learn from him. He also writes some of the best subject lines in IM. Expect 4-5 mailings a week. You can join Willie’s list at http://williecrawford.com/

Paul Myers: Paul mails his “TalkBiz” newsletter about once a week. But that one newsletter has more useful content than many eBooks you may purchase. Truth be told, his newsletter is equal in size to many IM reports. So when you get “TalkBiz”, print it out, grab a cup of coffee and a pen to take notes. Sign up for TalkBiz at http://www.talkbiznews.com/

Dennis Becker: Every Friday you can expect an email from Dennis about the different “goings on” at his membership site, Earn 1k A Day and his 5 Bucks A Day philosophy. Dennis writes as if he is sitting in your living room having a chat with an old friend. His email is a great case study in developing relationships with your list. Join his list by clicking here.

Allan Gardyne: An email once a month is all you will get from Allan. His newsletter is the best example of “Preselling” a product I have ever seen. When you finish reading, you just HAVE to have whatever Allan is sharing that month. Subscribe, print out, read, learn how he does it and you will do very well for yourself. Subscribe to Allan’s list at http://www.associateprograms.com/ .

Travis Sago: Travis is a guy that will flip his chair around have a seat on your front porch and drink a glass of iced tea with you. At least that is is writing style and he is very god at it. Travis is another great case study in how to build a relationship with your list. He has no frequency in his mailings at all. You may not hear from the “Bum Marketer” for over a month and then suddenly get 4-5 emails in week. Join his list at http://www.bummarketingmethod.com/ .

Great list Michael! However, I must say that I am shocked and disappointed that you don’t have Gregg & Steven’s IM Coaching Club list on there. I’m sure they would be very hurt by such an omission.

A great suggestion, but even Gregg and Steve would have to admit that they’re not in the league of those in my list. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me if Gregg stopped by this post to suggest himself that he should be on this list…

…hey, wait a minute!! :)
